Admission into the B.N.Sc programme is by University Matriculation (UME) and Direct Entry modes. Examination

University Matriculation Examination (UME)

Candidates must possess credit passes at the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the West African Examination Councilor National Examination Council, General Certificate Examination at the Ordinary Level or its equivalent in Mathematics, English Language, Physics, Chemistry and Biology at not more than two (2) sittings and an acceptable pass mark at the UME conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

Direct Entry

Candidate seeking admission through this mode should in addition to the UME requirements possess either of the following;

i) Registered Nursing Certificate (RN) and the required credit pass in five subjects at 'O' level which must include English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology in not more than two sittings may be admitted by direct entry.

ii) Passes in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Zoology at the Higher School Certificates or Advanced Level of General Certificate Examination or JUBEB.
(iii) First Degree in relevant Biological or Physical Sciences Discipline not less than Second Class Lower Division.

Each University should conduct Aptitude test or interview of candidates before admission.

Transfer from other Colleges of the University

(i) Candidates may transfer into part II B.N.Sc programme from other relevant colleges of the university provided they are in their 200 level, have passed all courses in the first year and have a minimum cumulative Grade point average (CPGA) of 3.50. The student must have offered and passed all GS courses offered by BNSC students at the 100 level.

(ii) Candidates shall not transfer during their final year in the university.

(iii) No transfer is accepted into this department from other universities.
