It is with deep pleasure and
honour that I stand before you
today on this auspicious occasion of 2 -8 combined Convocation Ceremony of Evangel University
for the installation of the Chancellor, award of Honorary Doctorate Degrees
(Honoris causa) and conferment of Bachelor Degrees on our deserving
Graduands. Today is indeed particularly historic as we witness the
installation of Rev Abel Ukachi Amadi, Ph.D as the Chancellor of this
University and award him Honorary Doctorate Degree (Honoris causa) of
Evangel University. This is also a special day to give honor to whom it is due
as we recognize in unique ways a man who has contributed immensely to
the growth and stability of our dear Ebonyi State, and others who have
contributed to the success story of our University by awarding them
Honorary Doctorate Degrees honoris causa of Evangel University based on
their professional specialities. Therefore, on behalf of the UniversitySenate,
Management, Staff, Students and the entire University Community, I have
the privilege to welcome you all to this august occasion of our University.
During a Convocation Ceremony, sacrifices and hard work are extolled and
rewarded.
